India Post GDS Recruitment 2026: Schedule-II July Notification, Registration Starts 31 August

The Department of Posts has announced GDS Schedule-II July 2026 recruitment for BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevak posts under Notification No. 17-12/2026-GDS, dated 20 August 2026.

Online registration will start from 31 August 2026, followed by application submission from 2 September 2026. Eligible 10th-pass candidates will be selected through a merit list based on their Class 10 marks, with no written examination or interview.

Educational Qualification

Post Details & Work

PostMain Duties
BPM→ Manages Branch Post Office operations, customer services and IPPB work.
ABPM→ Supports BPM, handles mail delivery, stamps/stationery and IPPB services.
Dak Sevak→ Handles mail delivery and other postal duties assigned by the Department.

Salary /Pay scale/TRCA

GDS employees receive TRCA (Time Related Continuity Allowance) instead of a regular Central Government salary.

The merit list is prepared using the marks/grades obtained in the Class 10 Secondary School Examination. Candidates must enter their marks exactly as shown on the original marksheet.
