SSC Stenographer Final Result 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the final result of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2025 on 25 August 2026. The result has been prepared after the earlier First Round of Tentative Allocation and the Sliding/Identity Verification process held on 11 and 12 August 2026.
A total of 1,715 candidates have been provisionally recommended—232 for Grade C and 1,483 for Grade D. Fresh ranks have also been issued, replacing the ranks given in the earlier FRTA.

SSC has provided post-code and category-wise last selected candidate details, including total marks, Part-II marks, Part-III marks and date of birth. Therefore, there is no single cut-off number for the entire Stenographer examination.

How SSC Prepared the Final Selection
CBT Marks → Skill Test Qualification → Preference → Sliding/IV → Final Allocation
→ The final allocation was made using merit-cum-preference of posts submitted by candidates.
→ FIX/FLOAT options exercised during the Sliding/Identity Verification process were also considered.
→ Candidates who failed to attend the required physical process were not considered for the final result.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more candidates had equal aggregate marks, SSC resolved the tie in this order:
→ 1. Higher marks in Part III – English Language & Comprehension
→ 2. Higher marks in Part II – General Awareness
→ 3. Older candidate gets higher position
→ 4. Alphabetical order of candidate names
What Happens After the Final Result?
The selection is provisional at this stage.
→ Document Verification will be conducted by the allocated department.
→ Candidates will have to produce their educational, caste/category and other required certificates.
→ Appointment formalities will be handled by the concerned user department.
→ If the documents do not support the claims made in the application, candidature can be cancelled.
