Educational Qualification

The eligibility can be understood easily as follows:

Law Graduate / Post Graduate

Candidates should be a fresh Law Graduate or Law Post Graduate from a University/College recognised by the Bar Council of India.

Final-Year Law Students

Students currently studying in:

➡️ 5th year of a 5-year Law course, or

➡️ Final year of a 3-year LL.B. course

Marks Requirement

➡️ Candidates must have passed all examinations in the first attempt.

➡️ A minimum of 60% aggregate marks is required.

Simple way:LL.B./Law qualification + 60% marks + every exam cleared in first attempt.

Recommendation Requirement

A recommendation is required with the application.

➡️ Practising Lawyer: Recommendation from a designated Senior Advocate.

➡️ Other applicants: Recommendation from the Head of the last Law School/College/University attended.

Engagement Period

The engagement will initially be for:

Nature of Work

A Law Researcher / Research Associate works under the guidance of the concerned Hon’ble Judge.

The role mainly involves

➡️ Researching important legal issues and case laws

➡️ Reading case files and preparing case summaries

➡️ Preparing notes and chronological events of cases

➡️ Finding relevant judgments, articles and legal materials

➡️ Assisting in preparation of judgments and related legal work

➡️ Taking notes of arguments and assisting in judicial/administrative work

➡️ Proofreading and other research-related assignments
