Important: As per the notification, if suitable candidates are not available for the 5 Level 5/4 vacancies, these vacancies may be transferred to Level 3/2 and filled accordingly.
Educational Qualification
The qualification depends on the pay level:

Candidates whose prescribed qualification result is still awaited are not eligible.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age will be calculated as on 1 January 2027.

Sports Qualification
This is the most important part of this recruitment. Simply having a sports certificate is not enough; the candidate must meet the prescribed sports-achievement norms for the particular level and discipline.
Sports achievements considered for this recruitment must generally be from 1 April 2024 up to the date of notification, and the candidate must be an active sportsperson.
Level 5/4:-
.Represented India in the Senior Olympic Games, or
.Secured at least 3rd position in specified major international competitions such as World Cup/World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Youth Olympics, Champions Trophy (Hockey) or Thomas/Uber Cup (Badminton).
Level 3/2:-
The notification accepts several higher-level achievements, including:
.Representation in specified World/Asian/Commonwealth-level championships,
.At least 3rd position in specified Commonwealth/Asian/South Asian/USIC/World University competitions
.,At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships,
.At least 3rd position in National Games,
.At least 3rd position in All India Inter-University Championship, or
.1st position in Senior Federation Cup Championships.
Level 1:-
Eligible achievements include specified representation at Commonwealth/Asian/South Asian/USIC/World University competitions, at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships, or specified State representation with the required National Championship performance.

Important Fee Details
→ Refund is applicable only to candidates who actually appear in the Sports Trial, after deduction of applicable bank charges.
→ ₹500 category candidates get ₹400 refund, while ₹250 category candidates get ₹250 refund.
Selection Process
There is no written examination in this Sports Quota recruitment.
The selection is based on:
Sports Achievement → Sports Trial → Educational Qualification → Merit → Medical Examination

A candidate must score at least 25 out of 40 marks in the sports trial to be considered fit for further assessment.
Minimum Overall Marks

Final appointment will be based on merit. If candidates obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the younger candidate.
Sports Trial:
The trial evaluates the candidate’s:

.Physical fitness
.Coach’s observation
Only candidates declared FIT in the trial will move ahead in the recruitment process. Candidates declared NOT FIT will not be considered further.
Candidates must bring the required original certificates on the day of the trial. Without the original documents, they will not be allowed to participate in the trial.
