Age Relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxed for eligible candidates according to SBI’s prescribed rules. OBC candidates get 3 years, while SC/ST candidates get 5 years of relaxation. PwBD candidates receive 10, 13 or 15 years depending on their category. Ex-Servicemen and eligible widows/divorced women have separate relaxation provisions. SBI-trained apprentices also receive category-wise relaxation under the specified conditions.

Selection Process
Preliminary Examination → Main Examination → Local Language Proficiency Test, where applicable → Final Selection.
Prelims marks are not added to the final merit. Final merit is based on the Main Examination, subject to fulfilling the local-language requirement where applicable

Local Language Requirement
Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the State/UT they choose. Candidates who studied that language in Class 10 or 12 and can provide the required certificate/marksheet do not have to take the language test. Others who qualify provisionally must pass the Local Language Proficiency Test before joining.
